PAID INTERNSHIP FOR ENGINEERING / SCIENCE UG & PG STUDENTS

Defence Materials and Stores Research & Development Establishment (DMSRDE), Kanpur, one of the premier laboratories of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), invites applications from Indian citizen students with excellent academic records for a Paid Internship for a period of Six months.

Applications are invited from eligible final year students pursuing under-graduation / post-graduation in Engineering / Science in the prescribed format, latest by 28 September 2026.

1. Minimum Educational Qualifications

Pursuing Graduate in Engineering / Post Graduate in Engineering and Science (full-time course) in the respective discipline from a recognized Indian University / Institute.

2. Duration of Internship

The duration of internship / project work will be for a period of 06 months. A Completion Certificate will be issued to students after successful completion of 06 months from the date of joining the Internship.

3. Selection Procedure

DMSRDE / DRDO shall offer Paid Internship to students having good academic records with 65% and above marks (or ≥ 6.5 CGPA) from AICTE / UGC approved College / Universities.
Dean / HOD / Director / Principal of the institution should send a request letter for Paid Internship for their highly deserving meritorious students only.
Age Limit: Below 28 years (as on September 2026).
Eligible students will be selected based on CGPA / Online Interview / Interaction as required, subject to satisfactory verification of documents.
Selected students will be notified about the joining procedures only through the email ID mentioned in the application form.
Incomplete / erroneous applications or applications received after the due date will be out-rightly rejected. No further communication will be entertained.
Selection will be based solely on merit. No communication will be entertained for non-selected candidates.

5. Procedure for Submission of Application

6. Boarding / Lodging

No boarding or lodging expenses are admissible.

7. Payment of Stipend

Stipend for the 06-month internship is applicable only when the student is present at the laboratory for a minimum of 15 working days per month.
Payment will be made in two installments:
- First installment after 03 months of Internship
- Second installment after completion of 06 months of Internship
Stipend will be paid directly into the bank account of the student.

8. Award of Certificate

A Completion Certificate will be issued to the students after successful completion of the 06-month internship period.

About The Program

The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Program 2026-27, an initiative by Tata Capital Limited, aims to support the higher education of meritorious students from economically weaker sections of society. The name ‘Pankh’, which means ‘wings’ in Hindi, symbolises the program’s belief that financial constraints should never limit the aspirations of talented young minds.

Under this program, students currently studying in Classes 11 or 12, as well as those pursuing undergraduate degrees, diplomas, or ITI courses at recognised institutions across India, are eligible for financial assistance.

1. Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship for Class 11th and 12th Students (2026-27)

Eligibility

Open to Indian students currently enrolled in Classes 11 or 12 at a recognised educational institution in India.
Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in the preceding academic year.
Annual parental income from all sources must not exceed INR 4 lakh.
Must be studying at a recognised board/institution in India.
Children of employees of Tata Capital Limited and Buddy4Study are not eligible to apply.

Note: Preference will be given to girl students, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), single-parent households (due to death or divorce), orphaned students, and those from affirmative-action backgrounds (SC/ST).

Benefits

Students scoring 60% to 80% marks → up to 80% of tuition/course fees or INR 10,000, whichever is less.
Students scoring above 80% and up to 90% marks → up to 90% of tuition/course fees or INR 12,000, whichever is less.
Students scoring above 90% marks → up to 100% of tuition/course fees or INR 15,000, whichever is less.

Terms & Conditions:

The above position(s) is/are purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme/project. The service of appointed candidate will stand terminated automatically after expiry of the scheme/project or completion of period indicated in the selection offer, whichever is earlier and the candidate will not have any right for absorption in CRRI/ICAR. Advertisement for the post of IITM Research Fellow

The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), Pune, an autonomous research body under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, focuses intently on advanced weather and climate science. Its efforts include training postgraduates to pursue research in atmospheric and oceanic sciences, ultimately aiming to enhance weather and climate forecasting. IITM boasts top-tier infrastructure, including India’s first Multi Petaflop Supercomputer, advanced observational tools like RADARs and LIDARs, and specialized labs. Important points for IITM Research Fellow positions: Applicants who have cleared national eligibility tests like CSIR-UGC NET, UGC NET, ICAR NET (for Lectureship/Assistant Professorship), GATE, or JEST are eligible. Even those awaiting their final M.Sc./M.S./M.Tech./M.E. results can apply, provided they mention their aggregate marks till the last completed semester. However, their final appointment is contingent upon successful completion of their degree, verified by mark sheets or provisional certificates. Candidates holding valid fellowships from CSIR, UGC, or DST-INSPIRE are also encouraged to apply and must specify their preferred fellowship (IITM or their existing one) in the online application. Those with a DST-INSPIRE fellowship who haven’t qualified any other national examination must opt for the DST-INSPIRE fellowship.

Age Limit Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxed by 05 years for SC, ST, Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and Women candidates, and 03 years for OBC (Non-creamy-layer) candidates.

Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) Clauses: PwBD candidates under the following clauses are eligible to apply:

Deaf and hard of hearing
Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.

The portal will be open from 12.03.2026 (5 PM) until 27.04.2026 (5 PM). Upon submission, applicants will receive a unique Application ID, which must be retained for all future correspondence. A valid email ID and mobile number are mandatory; requests for changes will not be entertained.

Incomplete applications or those not meeting the advertisement’s criteria will be rejected. Candidates are responsible for ensuring they meet all eligibility requirements and that all furnished information is accurate. Any misrepresentation or false information at any stage will lead to disqualification. For multiple applications, only the latest one will be considered.

Uploading of Documents:

Applicants must upload a coloured scanned passport-size photograph (JPG, under 100 kB) and original certificates in the specified sections; failure to do so will prevent form submission.
Candidates awaiting final results should submit mark sheets up to their latest semester as a single PDF. Uploading irrelevant documents will lead to outright rejection.
Those seeking reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) must upload valid certificates in the Union Government’s prescribed format to substantiate their claim.
A brief resume is also required as part of the application submission.

Selection Process:

Meeting the stated minimum qualifications does not guarantee an invitation for a written test or interview. A dedicated Screening Committee will review applications, and may establish additional criteria to shortlist candidates for either a written test or direct interview.

If a large volume of applications is received for the IITM Research Fellow positions, a written test may be conducted. This test serves solely for shortlisting candidates for the interview, and its scores will not be considered during the final selection process.

Final selection will be based exclusively on interview performance. Only screened or shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email for an interview, and IITM will not respond to any inquiries regarding the shortlisting outcome for non-selected applicants.

General Conditions:

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
The positions are purely temporary and only for specific duration.
The number of positions indicated above is provisional.
The Director, IITM reserves the right to cancel/postpone the interview without any reason thereof.

Document Verification: Interviewed candidates must present all original documents, including a No Objection Certificate (if employed), along with self-attested photocopies. False information will lead to disqualification at any stage, even post-selection.

Grade Conversion: Candidates with Grades/CGPA must provide a university-certified conversion to percentage; otherwise, a standard calculation (CGPA / Max CGPA * 100) will apply. Foreign degree holders require an AIU equivalency certificate.
General Rules: No interim correspondence will be entertained, and canvassing leads to disqualification. The online application deadline is the cutoff for all eligibility criteria.
Post-Selection: Selected candidates must join immediately, register for a Ph.D. at a recognized university, and will not have any claim to regular IITM employment. The number of vacancies is subject to change.

General Instructions for Internship Applicants:
1. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
2. Students who have pursued or pursuing courses in the disciplines of Science/Technology, which are relevant to DoS/ISRO Programmes alone, will be considered.
3) The number of students selected for internship may vary due to facility constraints. It is the prerogative of VSSC to accept/reject the application.

11) No stipend/remuneration/financial assistance will be given by VSSC/ISRO during the period of internship.

12) The duration of the Internship will be minimum of 21 days and maximum of 45 days.

13) Any other relevant information including educational qualifications/mark lists, previous internship/project done (if any), technical skills, area of interest, work experience (if any) etc can be uploaded in Supporting information as a single pdf (max size 5 MB.)

14) The selected students will be intimated by mail.
