CMAT – Common aptitude test for MBA admissions

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced that on-line Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) will be taken from 2013 by the students interested to join management courses.

The CMAT will be applicable for admission in post-graduate MBA courses and post-graduate diploma in business administration. CMAT will be a test for all AICTE-approved institutes in India. Only IIMs and deemed universities have been exempted from this national level entrance test for MBA courses.

Admission to 4,000 colleges that offer an MBA and another 500 which run diploma programmes will take place on the basis of the Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) from 2013.
