Desirable Experience – Two years post qualification experience as an Advocate (including as an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office or Law firm) after being enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 (25 of 1961).

Information Technology 24 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any branch or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a post graduate qualification (minimum two years’ duration) in computer science/ computer application/ information technology from a recognized University / Institute.
Engineering (Electrical) 2 Mandatory Educational Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute.

Desirable Experience – (i) Working knowledge of electronic systems like CCTV surveillance systems, Addressable Security Alarm and Fire Alarm systems, EPABX, UPS system, etc. (ii) Experience in maintenance of lifts, pumps, air-conditioning plants, etc. (iii) Experience of administering construction projects in all its aspects and knowledge of PERT/CPM techniques.

Research 2 Master’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma* (minimum two years’ duration) in Economics/ Commerce/ Business Administration/ Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics/ Financial Economics / Mathematical Economics/ Business Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Industrial Economics/ Business Analytics; OR

  1. Candidates who have appeared or will appear for their final examination, as on the last date of filling online application form and waiting for their results are eligible to appear for the selection process, however offer to join the Board will be subject to production of necessary documents evidencing successfully obtaining the requisite qualification.
  2. Reservations: Appropriate reservation will be given to candidates belonging to OBC (NCL), EWSs, SC, ST and PwBD candidates as per applicable laws.
  3. Age Limit: A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on March 31, 2024 i.e., candidate must have been born on or after April 01, 1994.Relaxation in age limits will be given as per applicable rules.
  4. Mode of Selection: Selection will be carried out in three phases. Phase I will be an on-line examination consisting of two papers. Candidates shortlisted in Phase I will appear for Phase II, which will also be in the form of on-line examination(s) consisting of two papers. Candidates shortlisted in Phase II will be called for an Interview. SEBI reserves the right to modify the selection procedure, if deemed fit.
  5. Service Conditions/ Pay and Allowances:
  6. Probation: The selected candidates shall be recruited as Officers Grade ‘A’ and will undergo a probation of two years.
  7. Pay & Benefits: The pay scale of officers in Grade A is ₹44500-2500(4)-54500-2850(7)-74450-EB-2850(4)- 85850-3300(1)-89150 (17 years).

Presently, the gross emolument including SEBI’s Contribution towards National Pension Scheme (NPS), Grade Allowance, Special Allowance, Dearness Allowance, Family Allowance, Local Allowance, Learning Allowance, Special Grade Allowance, etc. at Mumbai at the minimum of this scale is approx. ₹1,49,500/- p.m. without accommodation and ₹1,11,000/- p.m. with accommodation.

Other benefits viz., Leave Fare Concession, Medical Expenses, Eye Refraction, Education Allowance, Financial Dailies, Book Grant, Briefcase, Conveyance Expenses, House Cleaning Allowance, Staff Furnishing Scheme, Scheme for Purchasing Computers, Subsidized Lunch Facility and all other benefits as admissible to an Officer in Grade A in SEBI.

  1. Accommodation & Posting: Residential accommodation would be provided subject to availability. The incumbent may be posted and transferred to any location in India where SEBI has its Offices. The recruited officers may be posted to any department of SEBI, irrespective of stream.
  2. Examination Centres: The on-line examinations and interviews will be held in various cities across India.
  3. Application Fee (Non-refundable): ₹1000/- as application fee cum intimation charges + 18% GST for Unreserved, OBC and EWSs category and ₹100/- as intimation charges +  18% GST for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates.

Pre-examination training for SC / ST / OBC(NCL) / PwBD candidates: SEBI will arrange pre-examination training for SC / ST / OBC(NCL) / PwBD candidates, free of cost in online mode. Candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC(NCL) / PwBD candidates, who desire to avail of the pre-examination training, should invariably fill in the details in the relevant column while filling the ON-LINE application. Any subsequent request shall not be entertained. Further, no other mode of request shall be entertained.

After the successful completion of probation of 2 years, the person will be regularized in the services of GAIC.
