Applications are invited in the prescribed form from talented and result-oriented Indian Nationals for 10 posts of Scientists (4 in PB-4 and 6 in PB-3) in the areas of Salt & Marine Chemicals, Wasteland Research, Public Relations, Planning, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Science Dissemination in Hindi and Energy Research, respectively.
Post No. 1 : Discipline Coordinator – Salt & Marine Chemicals (Pay Band 4) (UR)
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
Ph. D. in the area of Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Salt Technology with minimum additional 3 years/6years relevant experience for consideration at Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist level.
Post No. 2 : Discipline Coordinator – Wasteland Research (Pay Band 4) (UR)
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
Ph. D. in the area of Agronomy/Agricultural Engineering/ Agricultural Science with minimum additional 3 years/6years relevant experience for consideration at Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist level.
Post No. 3 : Head – Public Relations and Science Communication (Pay Band 4 ) (UR)
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
Ph. D. in Science/Engineering/Management discipline with minimum additional 3 years/6years relevant experience in science communication for consideration at Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist level.
Post No. 4 : Head – Planning & Project Management Cell (Pay Band 4) (UR)
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
Ph. D. in Management/Economics/Science/Engineering with minimum additional 3 years/6years teaching/research/working experience in statistical methods/project management tools/planning for consideration at Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist level.
Post No. 5 : Mechanical Engineer (Pay Band – 3 ) (Reserved for OBC)
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
For the post of Scientist: ME/M.Tech. or Ph.D (Submitted) in the area of Mechanical Engineering ; for the post of Senior Scientist: ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years experience or Ph. D. in the above areas.
Post No. 6 : Civil Engineer (Pay Band – 3 ) (Reserved for OBC).
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
For the post of Scientist: M.E./M.Tech. or Ph.D (Submitted) in the area of Civil/Structural Engineering; for the post of Senior Scientist: M.E./M.Tech in Civil/Structural Engineering with 3 years experience or Ph. D. in the above areas.
Post No. 7 : Chemical Engineer (Pay Band – 3) (Reserved for OBC).
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience: For the post of Scientist: ME/M.Tech. or Ph.D (Submitted) in the area of Chemical Engineering; for the post of Senior Scientist: ME/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 3 years experience or Ph. D. in the above area.
Post No. 8 : Scientist – Analytical Division (Pay Band – 3) (Reserved for SC).
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience: For the post of Scientist: Ph. D. in the area of Chemistry/Material Science (submitted) with research in analytical method development; for the post of Senior Scientist: Ph. D. in the area of Chemistry/Material Science with minimum additional 2 years research experience in analytical method development.
Post No. 9 : Scientist – Science Dissemination in Hindi (Pay Band – 3) (Reserved for ST).
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
For the post of Scientist: ME/M.Tech. or Ph.D (Submitted) in science stream; for the post of Senior Scientist: ME/M.Tech with 3 years experience or Ph. D. (Engg.) or Ph. D. in science stream with 2 years experience. Candidates who apply must have a flair for scientific communication both in Hindi and English.
Post No. 10: Scientist – Energy Research (In Pay Band – 3) (Reserved for ST).
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:
For the post of Scientist: ME/M.Tech. or Ph.D (Submitted) in the area of Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Energy Technology; for the post of Senior Scientist: ME/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Energy Technology with 3 years experience or Ph. D. in the above areas.

Duly completed applications accompanied by attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in support of age, educational qualification, experience, caste etc., along with a nonrefundable fee of Rs.100/- (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Physically Handicapped candidates & regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee) in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, CSMCRI on any Nationalized Bank payable at Bhavnagar must reach the Administrative Officer,
