EV Narsimha Reddy, Secretary of the School Education Department, said that it was posted on the website on Thursday night. These exams are being conducted online from 18th of this month to 5th of August. People can download from https://tsdsc.aptonline.in/tsdsc/Hallticket. A total of 2.79 lakh applications have
been made for 11,062 teacher posts across the state of Telangana. Education department sources said that this is the second DSC to be conducted in the state after July 2017
after seven years.

About HAL:
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is an Indian state-owned aerospace and defence company based in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is governed under the management of the Indian Ministry of Defence.

The “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” (KVPY) is a program started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. The aim of the program is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research.
This program strives to assist the students to realise their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is developed for research and growth in the country. Generous scholarship and contingency grant are provided (up to the pre-Ph.D. level) to the selected students. In addition, summer programs for the KVPY Fellows are organized in prestigious research and educational institutions in the country.
The KVPY is funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The program is administered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bangalore).
The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, offers attractive fellowships (Rs. 4000 to Rs. 7000 p.m) and contingency grants (Four months fellowship p.a) for students studying in Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.
Eligibility
These Fellowships are only for Indian Nationals studying in India.
Selection to the program takes into account academic excellence and demonstrated interest in pursuing a research career. Selection procedures are different for SP (Basic Sciences) and SP (Medicine). All of them, however, include an interview for final selection.
Eligibility Criteria:
Basic Sciences
Stream SA: Students enrolled in the XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2011-2012 and have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination. [Students promoted through both the Summative Assessments-IIconducted by the school and conduced by the Board are eligible to apply, if they satisfy eligibility criteria].
(If the candidates have obtained a letter grade in the qualified examination, they are requested to convert it into an appropriate % and fill-up the application form)
Stream SX: Students enrolled in Class 12 (+2) of the academic year 2011 – 2012 and aspiring to join undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc/B.S./Int. M.Sc) for the session 2012 – 2013 provided they secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board Examination.
Stream SB: Students enrolled in 1st year B. Sc./B.S./Int. M.Sc. during the academic year 2011–2012 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination.
SP (Basic Sciences):
Students enrolled in XI/XII standard, I/II year (B.Sc../B.S./Int. M.Sc.) in Basic Sciences and I/II year B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. during the academic year 2011–2012 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in the X & XII Standard Board Examinations. Additionally students enrolled in the II year B.Sc./B.S./Int. M.Sc/B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch. program must have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in the I year examination. A hard copy of an original and creative Science based research project done by the applicant is required to be submitted along with the application
Medicine:
Stream SP (Medicine):Stream SP (Medicine): Students enrolled in I/II professional year of the MBBS/BDS/BVSc/B.Pharma program during the academic year 2011–2012 and have secured 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in SCIENCE subjects in the XII Standard Board Examination. Students enrolled in the II professional year of the MBBS/BDS/BVSc/B.Pharma program must have secured 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in the I year examination. A hard copy of an original and creative Bio-Medical project must be submitted along with the application.
Basic Sciences (SA, SX and SB)
After scrutiny of application forms and based on the performance in the Board Examination(s), all the eligible candidates from Streams SA, SX and SB have to appear for a written aptitude test (conducted both in Hindi and English). The test will be conducted at different centers across the country on 30th October 2011. The details of the venue of the aptitude tests will be put on the KVPY website in October 2011. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, candidates will be called for the interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure.
The question paper in SA Stream will be multiple choice objective type. In the objective type, 4 choices for the correct answer will be provided and the choice for the correct answer has to be made.
SP (Basic Sciences) and SP (Medicine)
KVPY applicant is required to submit the project report, chosen and executed by the candidate exclusively for this application. The projects done jointly with other candidates are not considered for KVPY Fellowship award. Applicant’s creativity and originality should be amply reflected in the project. This project has to be supervised by a teacher/professional in the relevant field. Based on the project submitted and scrutiny of the application form, short listed candidates will be called for an interview, which is the final stage of the selection procedure. The interview will be conducted at IISc, Bangalore during the month of December 2011 or January 2012.
Please Note that applications without the project report will not be considered. The project should not be a routine one (such as measuring a well known property of a material) The supervising teacher / professional is required to provide a recommendation letter certifying the extent of the applicant’s original contribution in the project.

ISAT is an All India Admission Test, for B.Tech programmes in Aerospace Engineering, Avionics and Physical Sciences in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST). Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), the first Space University of Asia, offers courses from undergraduate to doctoral level in Space Science and Technology.
The total number of seats for the Undergraduate Programmes in IIST for the academic year 2012-13 is 156. The seat matrix for different programmes is as follows:
(a) B. Tech. in Aerospace Engineering: 60
(b) B. Tech. in Avionics: 60
(c) B. Tech. in Physical Sciences: 36

The question paper will be of objective type and will consist of three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Examination Fee:
Students seeking admission to ISAT-2012 are required to pay Examination Fee as under:
a) Male candidates in GEN and OBC categories: Rs.600/-
b) Female candidates (GEN and OBC): Rs. 300/-
c) All SC, ST, PD candidates: Rs. 300/-
The payment is to be made in any one of the branches of State Bank of India (SBI) , Punjab National Bank (PNB) or Union Bank of India(UBI), using a Challan that can be downloaded/ printed from the website on successful completion of Online Registration. The examination fee is non-refundable.
Qualification:
Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories require an aggregate of at least 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent) to make them eligible for appearing in ISAT 2012 and those belonging to SC/ST/PD should have an aggregate of at least 60% marks in PCM subjects in the QE.
Qualifying Examination:
i) The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi, etc.
(ii) Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board /University.
(iii) Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
(iv) General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
(v) High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
(vi) Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
(vii) Vocational Higher Secondary Examination.
(viii) Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.

Andhra Pradesh School Education Department announced schedule for appearance of second Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test on 8th January 2012.
The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is the mandatory test for all candidates who aspire to become teachers of classes I to VIII in the schools of the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Private aided schools and Private unaided schools
APTET will be conducted in 2 papers viz. Paper-I & Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear at Paper-I and the candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII can appear for both papers, Paper-I & Paper-II.
The candidate at the time of applying for APTET should be in possession of the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for category I to V classes (Paper – I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper-II) as given below.
a) Minimum Qualifications for Classes I-V:
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed in 2 – year Diploma in Education
OR
Intermediate /Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed in 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
