Recruitment to the posts of Statistical Officer, Field Officer / Technical Assistant, Statistical Assistant, Lower Division Clerk, Field Assistant, Stenographer-Grade-II, Computer Operator – Grade-B, and Driver – Ordinary Grade.

Tobacco Board, a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce, Government of India and is responsible for the development of the tobacco industry including regulating the production and curing of Virginia Tobacco etc., in the country.

Tobacco Board invites applications from the individuals for filling up of vacancies to the following posts at Tobacco Board Headquarters and /or Tobacco Board Offices anywhere in India:

01 Post Graduate Degree in Statistics or Mathematics /Commercial Economics with statistics as one of the subject.

Desirable: Three years experience in collection and analysis of statistical data. Preference will be given to those possessing Diploma from Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta or Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi.

02 B.Sc (Agriculture); Desirable: Knowledge of tobacco cultivation & grading
03 1) A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics or a Master’s Degree in Mathematics or

Economics or Commerce with Statistics as one of the subjects.

2)Three years experience in Analysis of statistical data.

Desirable: Diploma from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata or Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi

04 1) 10+2 or its equivalent

2) Pass in English Type writing Lower Grade examination @ 30 WPM conducted by the Board of Technical Education.

Desirable: Graduate of a Recognized University

05 1) 10+2 or its equivalent; 2) Knowledge of tobacco cultivation & grading Desirable: Graduate of a Recognized University
06 1) Graduate of a Recognized University. 2) Should have passed English type writing examination @40WPM and English short hand examination @ 120 WPM conducted by the Board of Technical Education.
07 1) Degree of a recognized University. 2) Knowledge of Typing. 3) 8000 Key Depressions per Hour on computers.

Desirable: 1) Diploma in Computer application from any recognized institute.

2) Experience in Computer operation.

08 1) 10th or equivalent 2) Should possess Light Motor Vehicle driving license. 3) At least two years experience in Driving Light Motor Vehicle

Candidates fulfilling the required eligibility may apply giving full particulars on a plain paper neatly Type written/computerized along with recent passport size photograph duly attested by Gazetted Officer in the format enclosed.

The last date for receipt of application is 24/08/2014. The Crucial date for determining age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from the candidates. However, applications received on or before 17.30 hours of 25/08/2014 is also accepted as Sunday is being closed holiday (The relaxation given to the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Thripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul, and Spiti district and Pangi Sub¬Division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Isalands or Lakshadweep for receipt of applications shall not be taken in account for the purpose of determining age limit)
