ELIGIBILITY: A candidate who holds BAMS degree from a recognized University approved by CCIM, and has obtained full registration either from Central Council of Indian Medicine or any of the State AYUSH. Council, after completing compulsory rotating internship.

  1. Candidate must secure a rank in the Entrance test conducted by AMRITA VISHWA VIDYAPEETHAM.
  2. Candidates who, after passing the final qualifying examination (BAMS), if undergoing twelve month compulsory rotating internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same on or before July 15th, 2014.
  3. Failure to produce the Registration certificate as above may lead to cancellation of Admission and in such case the candidate will be responsible to pay the Institution all the losses the institution may suffer on account of such cancellation.
  4. Foreign candidates seeking admission from abroad shall submit their applications through the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare or Indian Council for Cultural Relations (I.C.C.R.) Govt. of India, New Delhi. A copy of the application form can also be sent to the Institute.

SELECTION: Selection is based on the rank obtained in the entrance test conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

  1. AGE LIMIT: Should complete the age of 17 years by 31-12-2014 and should not exceed 23yrs by the said date.
  2. QUALIFICATION: Must have passed the higher secondary examination or its equivalent in the first attempt with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken aggregate, and English separately.
  3. Those who appear for the qualifying examination in March / April 2014 can also apply.

SELECTION: Selection is based on the rank obtained in the entrance test conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

Request Forms are also available on the University Website, which can be downloaded, filled up and submitted alongwith the prescribed fee within the date.

Eligibility criteria for admission:
► Candidates born on or after 1st July ,1993 and a pass in Intermediate or its equivalent with minimum 60% aggregate marks are eligible to appear for the admission test.
► Admission to B.Tech programmes will be through an on-line test V-SAT 2014. (Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test . V-SAT is an on-line test to be conducted on all India basis).
Note: Candidates appearing / appeared for qualifying examination and awaiting results can also apply.

Streams for V-SAT 2014 :

  • Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English/Aptitude in the V-SAT 2014 are eligible for all the B.Tech programmes.
  • Candidates who attempt Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English/Aptitude in the V-SAT 2014 are eligible only for B.Tech. Biotechnology Programme.

Admission Procedure:
► The admission will be on the basis of the performance in the V-SAT 2014 online test conducted by Vignan University.
► The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained in V-SAT 2014, provided if he/she gets minimum 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination as per the eligibility criteria. Admissions will be purely on merit and by following the reservation policy applicable to Vignan University.
► A common merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the on-line test and they will be called for the counseling to be held at the Vignan University premises at Vadlamudi, Guntur District through a common ranking.

Bangalore University Admission 2012 for Various Courses

IISER Admission Notification for 5 years Integrated BS-MS Dual Degree Program 2012

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) were created in 2006 through a proclamation of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, to promote quality education and research in basic sciences. Soon after the announcement, two of these institutes at Pune and Kolkata, respectively, were started in 2006. This was followed by an institute at Mohali (2007) and at Bhopal and Trivandrum in 2008. Each IISER is a degree granting autonomous institution with a prime focus to integrate science education and research, with a motive of attracting bright students and world class faculty.

Admissions to 5 years Integrated BS-MS Dual Degree Program 2012

Courses Offered:

5 year BS-MS dual degree with major in biology, chemistry, mathematics and physics.

Ph.D. program

Integrated Ph.D. program after B.Sc. (presently at Kolkata and Pune, coming up soon in other IISERs)

Eligibility

1. Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination in 2010 or appearing in 2011.

2. Also candidates satisfying at least one of the following three criteria may apply:

(i) Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY)

(ii) IIT JEE – 2011

Students obtaining a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and securing a rank in the regular merit list.

Scholarships:

BS-MS students will receive either KVPY or INSPIRE scholarship of Rs, 5000/-p.m

Course Structure

The barrier between the traditional disciplines are fast disappearing. Modern research problems span a wide range of areas. It helps to have basic training in a range of disciplines to succeed in modern research. Accordingly, IISER-TVM MS curriculum is designed to be dominantly interdisciplinary.

  1. The MS programme is of 10 semester duration.
  2. Each academic year has 2 semesters of roughly 16 weeks each
    1. Varsha Semester:August-December
    2. Vasanth Semester:January-May
  3. The first 2 years(ie. the first 4 semesters) will consist of CORE courses common to all students.
  4. 3rd and 4th year courses will be specialized in one Major(Biology,Chemistry,Physics or Mathematics) and one or more Minors.
  5. The fifth year will be devoted to a thesis by research.
