Diploma in Dairy Technology Programme – 2014-15

A competitive All India Entrance Examination will be held for admission to the Diploma in Dairy Technology on the 20th May 2014 at the following centres:

Examination Centres: National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal (Haryana)
Southern Regional Station of National Dairy Research Institute, Bangalore (Karnataka)
Eastern Regional Station of National Dairy Research Institute, Kalyani (West Bengal)

The Diploma of 3-year duration will be conducted at Southern Regional Station of National Dairy Research Institute, Adugodi, Bangalore from 1st August 2014.

Eligibility: Candidates having passed their 10th Standard or equivalent examination from recognized Board are eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. The candidates due to appear for the final qualifying examination in 2014 may also apply, provided the results will be available on or before 31st July 2014.

Age Limit: Minimum age limit for candidates shall be 15 years as on 31-07-2014 and the maximum age limit shall be 21 years. The maximum age limit for the in-service candidates shall be 45 years as on 31.07.2014.

Selection Process: The selection process is detailed in the Information Bulletin which may be carefully perused by the candidates.

How to Apply: Information Bulletin and Application Form can be obtained from the Incharge, Education & Training Section, National Dairy Research Institute, Adugodi, Bangalore – 560 030 by post from 21.03.2014 to 21.04.2014 by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.600/- drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit, NDRI, BANGALORE” payable on any Nationalised Bank at Bangalore.

The Information Bulletin and Application Form can also be downloaded from NDRI Website:http//www.ndri.res.in. The downloaded Application Form shall be filled and submitted along with a Demand Draft of Rs.600/-

The completed Application Form along with the necessary documents should reach the Incharge, Education & Training Section, National Dairy Research Institute, Adugodi, Bangalore 560 030 on or before the 3rd May 2014.

Selection Process: Selection will be based on merit basis. The aggregate marks obtained during MA/MSc course will be considered for preparing the merit list. In case of ties, aggregate marks at undergraduate level will be considered. In case of further ties, seniority by age will be considered.

Procedure for Application: The interested candidates should send their application on a plain paper along with the following documents:

  2. Attested copies of undergraduate and postgraduate level degree certificates along with marks sheets

Interdisciplinary Masters Program in Computational Engineering (With a Teaching Assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per month). Notification No. 1 dated 10 – 04 – 2014.

Applications are invited for admission into the Two Year Interdisciplinary Masters Program in Engineering leading to the award of M.Tech in Computational Engineering from candidates who are interested to seek a RESEARCH CAREER and graduated in Engineering with any one of the following core branches Chemical/Civil/Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Metallurgy-Materials Engineering. This program intends to give post graduate training in computational aspects of their domain areas of engineering and computer science. The course shall run at the three campuses of RGUKT at Basar, Nuzvid and RK Valley (Idupulapaya) after an initial training. The initial training for SIX WEEKS on “Introductory course in Computing” shall be offered at its campuses at Basar/Nuzvid/RK Valley by charging Rs. 11,000/- (Non-refundable) towards, board and accommodation to the candidates selection through interview.

Qualification and Eligibility criteria: Valid and qualified GATE (2013 or 2014)
a. Eligibility

  • Qualified in GATE 2013 or 2014
  • B.Tech/B.E with a core branch such as (Civil/Computer Science/ Chemical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Metallurgical-Materials)

b. Qualification

  • 60% or above marks in B.Tech/B.E, Intermediate and SSC
  • SC/ST candidates: 55% or above marks in B.Tech/B.E, Intermediate and SSC
  • Passing of the six week “Introductory course in Computing” with “A” grade of 80% marks (Mandatory) conducted by RGUKT at its campuses Basar/Nuzvid/RK Valley.

c. For admission into introductory course in Computing, selections will be based on an interview to GATE qualified and short listed candidates.
d. Students graduating B.Tech/B.E by May 31st of 2014 and GATE 2014 are also eligible to apply
e. Candidates should have completed 20 years of age as on 31st December 2014.

Teaching Assistance: All candidates who are admitted to this program will get a Teaching Assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per month which roughly covers the tuition fee, room, board, laptop’s cost and incidental charges. Students are also encouraged to apply and avail AICTE fellowship instead.

How to Apply: The mode of application is online. The candidate has to pay an application fee of Rs.200/-(For SC/ST candidates : Rs.150/-) (Non-refundable) in any nationalized bank and get a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Registrar, RGUKT”, payable at Hyderabad. The serial number of the D.D shall be used in filling the online application form April 11, 2014 onwards, by logging in to the RGUKT site through www.rgukt.in or pgprogram2k14.rgukt.in:8080 and the filled-in application should be submitted on-line. Submission of on-line application closes on May 10, 2014.

The printout of the on-line application along with the original DD and copies of certificates including GATE score card (Mandatory) shall be sent to the Registrar, RGUKT, to the address given above with an inscription as “Application form for M.Tech-2014” on the top left side of the mailing cover. The hard copy of application without original DD and copies of relevant certificates including GATE score card (Mandatory) shall not be considered for admission. The last date for receiving of print-out of on-line applications by RGUKT is May 19, 2014. RGUKT is not responsible for delayed deliveries by postal/courier services. Application Procedure
1. Application form is available at www.nims.edu.in from 09-04-2014 to 30-04-2014.
2. A candidate must submit hard copy of the application form.
3. The application form may be downloaded and filled appropriately. Please note that all the columns in the application form require to be filled in. Incomplete application forms are liable to be rejected.
4. A demand draft may be obtained for Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, payable at Hyderabad or by paying Rs.2,000/- in NIMS cash counter in person towards application fee. The candidates must write his/her name and course applied for on the back side of the DD/NIMS cash receipt. Application fee is non-refundable even if the application is summarily rejected. The demand draft or NIMS cash receipt shall be dated between 09-04-2014 to 30-04-2014.
6. The filled-in Application form will have to be printed and signed. The hard copy of the filled-in application form with all necessary documents (Annexure I) and the DD/NIMS cash receipt shall be submitted in person or sent by post to the Associate Dean, Aptitude Testing, 2nd floor, Old OPD Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Punjagutta, Hyderabad -500 082, Andhra Pradesh on or before 5.00 PM on 03-05-2014.

Entrance Test: The entrance examination shall be conducted at the venue, date and time specified by the Institute in Hall Ticket.

Method of Selection: Selection will be made based on the performance of the candidates at the entrance test. A candidate has to secure a minimum of 50 % of marks to qualify for admission into the course.
