Educational Qualifications:-
Must possess SSLC/SSC/10th Class with I.T.I. qualification in electrical trade or intermediate vocational course in electrical trade/wiremen from a recognized Institution/Board

Age:- Age not below 18 years and not above 35 years as on 30.11.2011.  Relaxation in upper age limit permissible up to 5 years for SC/ST/BC candidates.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

 The candidates have to appear for the following tests:

i.          Meter Reading.

  1. Cycling.
  2. Pole Climbing/Tower Climbing.

II          The candidates who pass the above tests alone, will become eligible for further evaluation of marks secured in 10th Class and I.T.I. or Intermediate Occasional Course.

III.      Evaluation will be done on a scale of 100 marks with a maximum of 55 marks for the total aggregate marks obtained in SSC and ITI or SSC & Intermediate vocational course as the case may be and a maximum of 45 marks for experience.

 IV.      The in-service contract worker who have been working in this organization will be given weightage marks to a maximum of 45, depending on the length of the  service in this organization i.e., 5 marks per every half year(i.e. 180 days) service as contract worker.  Any disruption or discontinuation of service for a continuous period of 180 days and above for whatever the reason as contract worker shall be considered, as if fresh commencement from the date of resumption after such discontinuation or disruption.  Service less than six months will not be considered for weightage.

V.       No Weightage will be given for the service rendered less than 6 months. Inservice  contract candidates must be continuing in the organization, as on the date of this notification. A minimum of 6 months of continuous service as contract is necessary for considering weightage.

APSPDCL Recruitment 2012: Notification For Sub Engineer – Electrical

The Southern Power Distribution Company Of A.P.Limited APSPDCL invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up of the following Backlog  vacancies of Sub-Engineers (Electrical) on regular basis on or before 18-01-2012

Vacancies:

Sub Engineer: Electrical – 43 Nos

Qualifications : Must possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Graduation in Electrical Engineering in addition to Diploma in Elecl. Engineering or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Board/Govt., of AP/India/UGC/DEC/AICTE as the case may be.  The qualifications acquired from other state universities through distance mode can not be considered as per Memo.No.73/11, Dt:20-1-2011.

Selection Procedure:

The eligible candidates shall be required to appear for a written examination at Tirupati centre. The following are the minimum qualifying marks in the written test.

OC      –           40%,  BC       –           35%, SC/ST  –           30%

MESCO Recruitment 2012:Notification For 346 Assistant Lineman Posts

Applications are invited from qualified and eligible Male Candidates for recruitment of  85 Assistant Lineman in Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited.

Qualification:

Should have a pass certificate of 18/24 months course in “Electrician/Electronics/Electronic Mechanic” trade from Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) recognized by Government of Karnataka.

KPTCL Recruitment 2012: Notification For 85 Assistant Lineman Posts

Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited is a registered company under the Companies Act, 1956 was incorporated on 28-7-1999 and is a company wholly owned by the Government of Karnataka . KPTCL was formed on 1-8-1999 by carving out the Transmission and Distribution functions of the erstwhile Karnataka Electricity Board.

Applications are invited from qualified and eligible Male Candidates for recruitment of  85 Assistant Lineman  in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited.

Vacancies:

Assistant Lineman – 43

Qualification:

Candidates possessing a pass certificate of 18/24 months course in “Electrician” trade from  Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) recognized by the Government of Karnataka

Assistant Lineman – 42

Qualification:

Candidates possessing pass certificate of 18/24 months course in “Electronics/ Electronic Mechanic” trade from Industrial Training Institutes recognized by Government of Karnataka.

Other Qualifications:

i)        Should have knowledge of Kannada to read and write.

ii)      Should have normal eye sight.

iii)     Should have satisfactory physical fitness and shall qualify in the Endurance Test.

 Selection Procedure:

i)    Recruitment to the posts of ALM will be made by selection strictly on merit,based on the marks secured in the Qualifying Examination only, duly following the reservation policies of the Government of Karnataka. Candidates will be called for Endurance Test in the ratio of 1:5.

ii)  Endurance test will be conducted in the following events;

a)    100 meters Running                                 –           14 seconds

b)    Skipping                                                    –           50 times in one minute

c)     Shot put 12 pounds                                  –           8 meters throw ( 3 opportunities )

d)    Climbing of Electric Pole                           –           8 meters height

e)     800 meters Running                                 –           3 minutes

No marks are allocated to the endurance test. However, in order to qualify for the selection, the candidate has to compulsorily climb the Electric Pole(event No. d) and get through in 2 other events out of the remaining 4 events (i.e. event No. a, b, c & e).

iii) Medical Examination will be conducted from a Competent Medical Officer during the Endurance Test and the candidate should have satisfactory physical fitness.

iv)All the original documents will be verified on the day of the Endurance Test which will be conducted at  Bangalore

v)   Date and location of the endurance test will be notified to the shortlisted candidates through      the website. Only those candidates who have furnished there mobile No. in the application forms will be intimated through SMS.

1)  Rs. 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred only) in respect of candidates belonging to General Candidate and Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB.

UPSC IES 2011 Results

General, Recruitments, Results

The written result of the Engineering Services Examination, 2011 has been declared by the Commission and the same is available on the Commission’s Website, http://www.upsc.qov.in

It is informed that all the written qualified candidates are required to fill up and submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) ONLINE followed by sending of ink signed copy of the printout of DAF alongwith their photograph and all relevant documents to the Commission.

The DAF shall be available on the Commission’s Website till 25.12.2011 till 11.59 P.M. Important instructions for filling up and submitting the ONLINE DAF are also available on the Website alongwith the Rules of the Engineering Services Examination, 2011.

The last date for the receipt of the printed copy of the DAF (ink signed) alongwith relevant documents is 29.12.2011. In the event of non-receipt of ink signed copy of the DAF, the candidature will be cancelled without any further notice.

The candidates shall be informed for their Personality Test (likely to be held in the months of January and February, 2012) through e-mail followed by Speed Post. The details of Personality Test shall also be available on the Commission’s Website by the last week of December, 2011.
