The University of Allahabad shall conduct COMBINED RESEARCH ENTRANCE TEST-2014 (CRET-2014) at Allahabad for admission to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (D.Phil.) (hereinafter referred to as D.Phil. Programme) of the University of Allahabad for the session 2014-15

Regular teachers of the University of Allahabad and of any institution maintained by it or admitted to its privileges and international Students are exempted from appearing at CRET for admission to D. Phil. Programme. All other candidates for admission to the D. Phil. Programme in the concerned subjects are required to appear at CRET-2014 after applying and register their candidatures through the ONLINE APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION PROCESS at the website and remitting the admissible Test Fee in the prescribed manner.

All candidates, including candidates exempted from the Level 1 Test (vide para 1.03) or the Level 1 and Level 2 Tests both (vide para 1.04), shall be required to fulfill the following ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for appearing in CRET-2014 and for admission to the D.Phil. Programme.

A minimum score at the Post-graduate Examination of 55% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point under the seven point Letter Grade Scale), laid down by the UGC in the case of General candidates and 50% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point) in the case of OBC/SC/ST/PH/VH candidates.

A minimum average score in the entire academic career of 54% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point) in the case of General/OBC candidates; or 49% marks (or the equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point) in the case of SC/ST/PH/VH candidates.

The Eligibility Test will be conducted for the SECOND TIME in this academic year at the Regional Coordination Centres of BRAOU in the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

A) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Candidates who do not possess Intermediate (or) its Equivalent Qualification are eligible to appear for the Eligibility Test for seeking admission into 1st year of the B.A. / B.Com / B.Sc (3-year Degree Programme) for the Academic year 2014-15, provided they complete 18 years of age by 1st July 2014.

B) MEDIUM & VENUE OF E.T.: Test will be conducted in ENGLISH. TELUGU & URDU MEDIA at the Regional Coordination Centres (RCCs only) (However, the qualified candidates can take admission at any study centre of his / her choice).

C) HOW TO REGISTER FOR ELIGIBILITY TEST: Candidates who wish to appear for ET shall register “Online” through AP ONLINE FRANCHISE CENTRES by paying Rs. 235/- towards Registration Fee
DATE & TIME OF ELIGIBILITY TEST: 20-07-2014 from 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM

D) Applicants should collect Hall Tickets at least FOUR days before the Examination Date from the RCC chosen by them. Hall Ticket can also be downloaded from the University website.
