Indira Gandhi National Tribal University
The Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Amarkantak has been established by an Act of the Parliament of India. It came into existence by the Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Act, 2007. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the whole country and it is fully funded by the Central Government through the University Grant Commission. The university caters the specific educational needs of the tribal population of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat

Admission Process:
For Admission on Under Graduate Courses:
The Admission will be done strictly on the basis of Merit of All India Entrance Test.
For Admission on all Post Graduate Courses ( including the courses at Regional Campus, Manipur):
The Admission will be done strictly on the basis of Merit of All India Entrance Test follwed by Group discussion & Personal Interview. The Minimum Qualifying Marks will be atleast 40% in the Entrance Test
Admission Notification will be issued in the month of October
