Council of Scientific and Industrial ResearchCentral Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), Durgapur, established in 1958 the apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering under the aegis of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an Autonomous Body under the Government of India desires to fill up the following Scientific / Technical positions.

Positions:

1) Scientists / Sr. Scientist: 15 Posts [UR-11, OBC-01, SC-02, ST-01]

Educational Qualification:

For Scientist : ME/M.Tech in Chemical Engg./Industrial Metallurgy/Tribology and Surface Engg./Engineering Mechanics/Electrical Engg./Design of Mechanical Equipment/Manufacturing Science / Production Technology.

For Sr. Scientist : Ph.D in Organic / Inorganic Chemistry with 2 years relevant experience / Ph.D in Computer Science.

2) Sr. Technical Officer(1): 02 Posts [UR]

Educational Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or equivalent with two years of experience in relevant area.

CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute Walk-In For Officer Assistants

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR – CMERI), desires to engage 11 Office Assistants on purely temporary basis on contract for a period of 06 (six) months at this Institute.

Vacancies:

Office Assistant (11 posts)

Educational Qualification and Experience:

Essential : Graduate in any discipline or equivalent with one year Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized Institute and possessing minimum 25 wpm typing speed in English on computer.

Desirable: Experience in working on Human Resource Management Automation Solutions.

Mode of Selection : The selection process includes a Written Test in General English and Computer Applications etc. along with a Proficiency Test (typing speed test @ 25 words per minute in English on computer) scheduled at 09:30 AM on 22.11.2011 (Tuesday). Candidates who qualify both in the Written Test & Proficiency Test will have to appear for an interview / personal discussion before the Selection Committee at 10:00 AM on 23.11.2011 in the Conference Room of the Institute.
Eligible candidates may appear together with duly filled-in downloaded Application Form from the Institute website : www.cmeri.res.in for the Written Test and Proficiency Test on 22.11.2011 between 09:00 – 10:00 AM along with latest passport size photograph, original and attested copies of all certificates in the proper format issued by the appropriate authority as per the latest instructions issued from time to time on the subject. Candidates reporting after 10:00 AM will not be entertained under any circumstance.
