NOTIFICATION FOR FACULTY POSITIONS AT RGUKT

Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) was established by an Act 18 in the year 2008 to cater to the educational needs of the meritorious rural youth. Three campuses of RGUKT (fully residential) were started under the University in the year 2008, one each at Basar( Adilabad Dt, Telangana), Nuzivid (Krishna Dt, AP), Rajiv Knowledge Valley ( YSR Kadapa Dt., AP).

The RGUKT invites applications from in-service or retired Professors/Associate Professors/Assistant Professors/Lecturers/Principals of reputed Universities/NITs/IITs/colleges etc.for appointment as Visiting Professors/Visiting Faculty on deputation or contract basis in the following Departments of the RGUKT as per the UGC guidelines for re-engagement of the superannuated faculty and also as per GOMS No.40 dated 28.06.2012 of Higher Education (UE_II) Department , Govt. Andhra Pradesh.

  1. Engineering Departments: ECE, CSE, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy & Material Engineering,Electrical Engineering etc.
  2. Non-Engineering Departments: Management, Physics, Mathematics,Chemistry, English and Psychology.

Period of Contract: One academic year extendable up to three years or attaining the age of 65 years whichever is earlier subject to satisfactory performance and requirement.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Engineering: First Class Degree at Masters Level in the respective disciplines. The candidates with PhD are preferred.
  • Non-Engineering: First Class Degree at Masters Level in the respective disciplines with Ph.D.

Pay Package: The consolidated pay of the selected candidates will be fixed as per guidelines issued by UGC/State Govt from time to time taking into account of their last pay drawn as per Last Pay certificate minus net pension drawn as on the date excluding the commuted portion of the pension as per Pension Payment Order. Accommodation will be provided in the respective campuses subject to availability.

6-YEAR INTEGRATED B.Tech PROGRAM NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSIONS – 2014

Applications are invited, for admission into first year of 6-year integrated B.Tech Degree program being offered at the university constituent institutes at Basar, Nuzvid and Idupalapaya. 5% supernumerary seats are also available for the students belonging to States other than AP including the Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries / International and NRI students.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
a) Regular students who passed SSC or its equivalent examination (10th class) held in 2014,
b) Age not more than 18 years as on 31.12.2014 (21 years in case of SC / ST candidates)

HOW TO APPLY
Applications can be made only by online, either through RGUKT website http://admissions2014.rgukt.in or APOnline

In both cases, a print copy of the submitted application along with original DD/SBH challan/State Bank collect E-receipt / APOnline receipt, and copies of the certificates should be sent to “The Registrar, RGUKT, Campus of IIIT-H, Gachibowli, HYDERABAD – 500 032” by speed post / registered post immediately. The application shall not be considered if the printed form along with registration fee and the required enclosures is not reached to RGUKT within the deadline.

Announces

Interdisciplinary Masters Program in Computational Engineering (With a Teaching Assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per month). Notification No. 1 dated 10 – 04 – 2014.

Applications are invited for admission into the Two Year Interdisciplinary Masters Program in Engineering leading to the award of M.Tech in Computational Engineering from candidates who are interested to seek a RESEARCH CAREER and graduated in Engineering with any one of the following core branches Chemical/Civil/Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Metallurgy-Materials Engineering. This program intends to give post graduate training in computational aspects of their domain areas of engineering and computer science. The course shall run at the three campuses of RGUKT at Basar, Nuzvid and RK Valley (Idupulapaya) after an initial training. The initial training for SIX WEEKS on “Introductory course in Computing” shall be offered at its campuses at Basar/Nuzvid/RK Valley by charging Rs. 11,000/- (Non-refundable) towards, board and accommodation to the candidates selection through interview.

Qualification and Eligibility criteria: Valid and qualified GATE (2013 or 2014)
a. Eligibility

  • Qualified in GATE 2013 or 2014
  • B.Tech/B.E with a core branch such as (Civil/Computer Science/ Chemical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Metallurgical-Materials)

b. Qualification

  • 60% or above marks in B.Tech/B.E, Intermediate and SSC
  • SC/ST candidates: 55% or above marks in B.Tech/B.E, Intermediate and SSC
  • Passing of the six week “Introductory course in Computing” with “A” grade of 80% marks (Mandatory) conducted by RGUKT at its campuses Basar/Nuzvid/RK Valley.

c. For admission into introductory course in Computing, selections will be based on an interview to GATE qualified and short listed candidates.
d. Students graduating B.Tech/B.E by May 31st of 2014 and GATE 2014 are also eligible to apply
e. Candidates should have completed 20 years of age as on 31st December 2014.

Teaching Assistance: All candidates who are admitted to this program will get a Teaching Assistance of Rs. 10,000/- per month which roughly covers the tuition fee, room, board, laptop’s cost and incidental charges. Students are also encouraged to apply and avail AICTE fellowship instead.

How to Apply: The mode of application is online. The candidate has to pay an application fee of Rs.200/-(For SC/ST candidates : Rs.150/-) (Non-refundable) in any nationalized bank and get a Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Registrar, RGUKT”, payable at Hyderabad. The serial number of the D.D shall be used in filling the online application form April 11, 2014 onwards, by logging in to the RGUKT site through www.rgukt.in or pgprogram2k14.rgukt.in:8080 and the filled-in application should be submitted on-line. Submission of on-line application closes on May 10, 2014.

The printout of the on-line application along with the original DD and copies of certificates including GATE score card (Mandatory) shall be sent to the Registrar, RGUKT, to the address given above with an inscription as “Application form for M.Tech-2014” on the top left side of the mailing cover. The hard copy of application without original DD and copies of relevant certificates including GATE score card (Mandatory) shall not be considered for admission. The last date for receiving of print-out of on-line applications by RGUKT is May 19, 2014. RGUKT is not responsible for delayed deliveries by postal/courier services.
