Advertisement for UPE-II Project Assistant

Applications are invited for one post of Project Assistant in UPE-II sponsored project entitled Development of nanostructured composites as exchange spring-magnets with high coercivity and high energy product

Appointment will be for one year and extendable for the second year subject to satisfactory progress in the project.

Qualification: M.Sc. or M.Tech with a minimum of 55% marks in Physics/Materials Science. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum is 50%. Those who have appeared for the final year exams may also apply.

Desirability: Interest in experimental work and making of instruments independently.

Remuneration: Rs. 8,000/- p.m consolidated.

Positions in Tomato Functional Genomics

At the Repository for Tomato Genomics Resources, we are working on Tomato Functional Genomics, using TILLING, Insertional Mutagenesis, proteomics, metabolomics approaches to study fruit ripening in tomato. The current aims of the group include using reverse and forward genetics strategies to isolate tomato mutants delayed in ripening, having high lycopene and folate content in tomato fruits and analysis of light and hormonal signal transduction pathways. Currently we have three positions available in the projects awarded to Prof. R.P. Sharma and Dr. Y. Sreelakshmi funded by Department of Biotechnology and Department of Science and technology. The qualifications for this Position is as follows:

Junior Research Fellow-1 position: Applicants should have M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences plus 2 years research experience in proteomics analyses-2Dgel/LC-MS or MTech with GATE/GATE equivalent with experience in mass spectrometry. Candidates with M.Sc. should be qualified in NET. Selected candidate would be paid Rs. 16,000+30% HRA.

Research Assistant: Applicants should have experience in networking using R language and should be able to develop networks using the trancriptome, proteome and metabolite data sets. M.Tech. in Bioinformatics is required. The selected candidate would be paid Rs. 15,000/-pm- consolidated.

Lab Assistant-1 position: Applicants should have one year experience in tiisue culture for generating transgenic plants. M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences is required. Selected candidates would be paid a consolidated pay of Rs. 8000/-pm.

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate (RA) in DRDO sponsored project, at the ACRHEM Center entitled: “Synthesis of High Energy Materials”. Qualified candidates should send their detailed curriculum vitae (including their E-mail and Mobile no.) via E-mail latest by 16th May 2014 to the above mentioned E-mail address. University of Hyderabad invites applications from the suitable candidates for the following temporary position on purely contractual basis for the India-European Union Project through the British Council of India entitled “Enhancing Quality, Assess and Governance of Undergraduate Education in India”. The current position will be from June 1, 2014 to May 31, 2017 with renewal of every year based on the assessment of the performance.

Position: Project Coordinator

Qualification: Master’s Degree in any discipline/MBA with finance and minimum 3 years of experience in project management as a group leader with client interaction, experience of handling finances and procurement.

Desirable: Proficiency in English with excellence in soft skills. Candidates studied in English Medium will be given preference

Age: Below 40 years

Remuneration: Rs.30,000/- per month
