Admission to Ph.D. Programme – 2014

National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai, a premier institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research, conducts basic, clinical and operational research in different areas of reproductive health. The thrust areas of research include: Fertility Regulation, Infertility and Reproductive Disorders, Reproductive Tract Infections, Maternal and Child Health, Osteoporosis, Genetic Disorders, Stem Cell Biology, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics and Reproductive Toxicology. Institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai for the award of Ph.D. degree in Applied Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences and Biotechnology. The institute invites applications from young and bright students for enrollment in Ph.D. programme.

Who can Apply: Candidates with M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/ M.Pharm./ M.V.Sc. or M.B.B.S. (securing not less than 60% marks for general category candidates and not less than 55% for SC/ST candidates in all major examinations from higher secondary (10 + 2) onwards), and willing to take up challenges in modern biology through Ph.D. programme of the Institute may submit their application in the prescribed format. Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2013-2014 may also apply. Such candidates found suitable will be allowed to appear for interview and have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission. Candidates who have qualified in the Ph.D. entrance test (PET) conducted by the University of Mumbai OR qualified in the fellowship examination conducted by CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT only are eligible to apply. M.Pharm/M.Tech (Professional Course) candidates with GATE score of 95 percentile or above are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 6th June 2014 (the deadline for submission of application) and it is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped persons as well as women candidates as per Government of India rules in this regard.

How to Apply: Application form available at the NIRRH website (www.nirrh.res.in) http://www.bicnirrh.res.in/phd2014 should be duly filled and submitted online on or before 6th June 2014. Printed copy of the filled application form should be submitted alongwith a Demand Draft for Rs 300/- (no application fee for SC/ST/PH candidates provided they submit supporting document) drawn in favour of “Director, NIRRH Mumbai” to In-charge, Post Graduate Studies, National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Jehangir Merwanji Street, Parel, Mumbai 400012, so as to reach on or before 13th June 2014. Envelope should be marked as “NIRRH Ph.D. 2014”. Incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date will be disqualified.

The National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), hereafter referred to as the Institute, offers doctoral research programmes leading to the award of Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Engineering and Science in the following departments:
(a) Department of Forge Technology
(b) Department of Foundry Technology
(c) Department of Manufacturing Engineering
(d) Department of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering
(e) Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities

ADMISSION: On the basis of overall academic performance in the qualifying examination, interview and/or written test, the Departmental Research Committee (DRC) will recommend the names of selected candidates along with the names of probable research supervisor(s) to the Central Selection Committee (CSC), which makes the final selection. Reservation policy of Govt. of India shall apply.

Eligibility for Admission: The minimum educational qualifications required for admission to PhD programmes in Engineering and Science is one of the following:
(a) M. E. / M. Tech. from a recognized institution or university in the relevant discipline, with at least 6.5 CGPA (or 60% marks) in aggregate.
(b) B. E. / B. Tech. in the relevant discipline or MCA from a recognized institution or university, with at least 7.5 CGPA (or 70% marks) in aggregate.
(c) M. Sc. or equivalent from a recognized institution or university in relevant discipline with at least 7.5 CGPA (or 70% marks) in aggregate.

How to Apply: The research scholars shall submit a prescribed PhD registration form (available with Ranchi University) to Coordinator (PhD and Research) with all relevant documents, which shall be forwarded to the Director for permission to conduct a pre-registration seminar.

Completed application form along with attested photocopies of certificates, testimonials, photographs and demand draft will be received at DIPSAR upto 5:00 pm on 4th July, 2014.

For online application the candidate can make payment through Credit/Debit Cards, Netbanking or Cash at HDFC Bank & select branches of the Post Office across the country. All necessary instructions for online application are available on the website.

Phil Clinical Psychology (two years hospital based full time) course for the session 2014-2016 at Institute of Human Behavior & Allied Sciences (IHBAS) in academic affiliation with University of Delhi.

Number of Seats: UR-10, SC-01, ST-01, OBC- 03, Foreign Nationals- 02 and In-service Candidate- 02(working in Central or State Government/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector undertaking).

Eligibility: Regular M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology/Applied Psychology/ Cognitive Science/ Clinical Psychology/ Counseling Psychology from UGC recognized University with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for candidates under reserved categories SC;ST & OBC).

Application Fee: Rs.1500/- for General, In-service & Foreign candidates. For reserved category candidates application fee will be Rs.850/-. The application fee is to be paid in the form of DD drawn in favor Director, IHBAS payable at Delhi. It should be enclosed with the application. The other documents required to be enclosed with the application are: (a) 01 recent passport size photograph, (b) attested copies of mark sheet, degree certificate of the claimed qualification and (c) work experience. Application received without application fee or other aforesaid documents will not be entertained.
