6-YEAR INTEGRATED B.Tech PROGRAM NOTIFICATION FOR ADMISSIONS – 2014

Applications are invited, for admission into first year of 6-year integrated B.Tech Degree program being offered at the university constituent institutes at Basar, Nuzvid and Idupalapaya. 5% supernumerary seats are also available for the students belonging to States other than AP including the Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries / International and NRI students.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
a) Regular students who passed SSC or its equivalent examination (10th class) held in 2014,
b) Age not more than 18 years as on 31.12.2014 (21 years in case of SC / ST candidates)

HOW TO APPLY
Applications can be made only by online, either through RGUKT website http://admissions2014.rgukt.in or APOnline

In both cases, a print copy of the submitted application along with original DD/SBH challan/State Bank collect E-receipt / APOnline receipt, and copies of the certificates should be sent to “The Registrar, RGUKT, Campus of IIIT-H, Gachibowli, HYDERABAD – 500 032” by speed post / registered post immediately. The application shall not be considered if the printed form along with registration fee and the required enclosures is not reached to RGUKT within the deadline.

The Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (formerly Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University) established during 1964 is responsible for education, research and extension in Agriculture and allied fields in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The University imparts instruction leading to the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree & Diploma courses in Agriculture, Home Science and allied fields at its respective constituent Colleges at Rajendranagar, Bapatla, Tirupati, Mahanandi, Naira, Hyderabad.

Qualifications for admission: Candidates seeking admission into P.G. Diploma courses must have passed the following Bachelor’s Degree examinations.

Course Required Qualification Selection Process
i) Nutritional Therapy B.Sc. Home Science / Nursing / Nutrition as optional subject. The selection of the candidates shall be based on the merit marks secured in the qualifying examinations. Intimations shall be sent by post to the selected candidates. The list will be displayed in the Univ. website.
ii) Food Analysis & Quality Control B.Sc. (H.Sc.) / Nutrition as one of the subjects / B.Sc.(Ag.) / B.Sc. (Horticulture) / B.Sc or B.Tech (Food Sci. & Technology).
iii) Event Management Male and Female any Graduate from Art / Science / Commerce background with good communication skills. Screening through Entrance test and interview at department level.

50 percent cut-off marks in Entrance test (Multiple Choice questions related to general awareness on management of resources and consumer behaviour).

Intimations shall be sent by post to the selected candidates. The list will be displayed in Univ. website.

Age: The upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st July of the year of the admission.

Reservation for S.C.,S.T., and B.C. candidates: 15%, 6% and 29% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the candidates belonging to SCs, STs and BCs respectively.

Applications duly filled in together with all the prescribed certificates should be sent to “THE REGISTRAR, ACHARYA N.G. RANGA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE, RAJENDRANAGAR, HYDERABAD-500 030” so as to reach on or before the date specified in the notification. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained. Postal delays will not be condoned. Hence, candidates are advised to send the applications well in advance. Those already employed shall send their applications through their employers so as to reach the university before the last date prescribed. They may send advance copies of applications along with certificates to avoid delays in forwarding the applications by the employers.

Applications are invited online from eligible candidates for admission to Ph.D. and M.Tech. (Research) Programmes of the Institute with or without fellowship for Autumn Semester 2014-15.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Ph.D. Programme:
Management, and Humanities & Social Sciences is one of the following:
a) M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharm in relevant discipline with at least 6.5 CGPA or 60 percent marks in aggregate in both B.Tech. (or M.Sc./B.Pharm/ MCA) and M.Tech. levels from a recognized technical Institute or University.
b) B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm/MCA or equivalent in relevant discipline with CGPA of 7.0 or 65 percent marks in aggregate.
c) M.Sc. in Basic Sciences with CGPA 7.0 or 65 percent marks in aggregate in relevant disciplines.
d) M.B.B.S./B.V.Sc. with CGPA 6.5 or 60 percent marks in aggregate.

Additionally candidates having the following qualification can also apply for Ph.D. in Management and Humanities & Social Sciences:
M.A. / MBA / M.Com. /M. Sc. in Humanities, or Social Sciences or Management with 60 percent marks or 6.5 CGPA

M.Tech (Research) Programme:
The minimum qualification required for admission to M.Tech (Research) programme in Engineering, Science, Management, and Humanities & Social Science is one of the following:
a) B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm/MCA or equivalent in relevant discipline with 60 percent marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA).
b) M.Sc. in Basic Sciences with 60 percent marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA) in relevant disciplines.
c) M.B.B.S./B.V.Sc. with 60 percent marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA).

Additionally candidates having the following qualification can also apply for M.Tech.(R). in Management and Humanities & Social Sciences:
M.A. / MBA / M.Com. /M. Sc. in Humanities, or Social Sciences or Management with 60 percent marks or 6.5 CGPA.

Financial Support: Fellowships/Assistantships are available to meritorious Ph.D. and M.Tech (Res) students of all departments.

Educational Qualifications and Eligibility Conditions: The candidate seeking admission in any of the 22 M. Tech Programs of the University must have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 on a 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate in qualifying degree from a recognised University or any other Examination recognized by the University Equivalent thereto, in addition to a valid GATE score (for Full time program). Selection Procedure: All the candidates (Full Time/Part-Time/Sponsored Full Time) seeking admission to various M. Tech programs must register online and also submit the fees online for admission as per the schedule displayed on the DTU admission website.

Registration Fees: Fee for online Registration is Rs. 1000/- to be paid online through credit/debit card/net banking at the time of registration and choice filling. The registration shall not be complete without the payment of registration fees. A convenience charge @1% plus taxes will be levied on every online registration fee payment.

Admission Fee: The annual fee for all the M. tech courses is Rs. 75000/-(Seventy five Thousand only) which is to be paid in the form of a DD drawn in favour of Registrar DTU payable at Delhi.
