PMDRF – Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellowship

The Ministry of Home Affairs has identified 60 districts of the country as Left Wing Extremism (LWE) districts. The Government of India has launched a special programme in these districts called Integrated Action Plan (IAP). On 13th of September, Union Minister of Rural Development Mr. Jairam Ramesh announced a scheme of PM’s Rural Development Fellows (PMDRF), for deploying young professionals in each of the IAP districts to assist the District Collector.

Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellowship is an excellent opportunity for committed young people to contribute to enhancing development and welfare of the people in rural and tribal areas of the country.  It is envisaged that the selection and training process and intensive development facilitation work at the village, block and district level as PMRDF will provide an exceptional growth potential.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria would be:

Must be 21-30 years old
Must be a postgraduate in Social Science/ Science/ Management or a graduate in Law/ Engineering/ Medicine
Knowledge of hindi and a local language used in an IAP district is desirable.
Work experiemce is preferred

Method of Selection

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their qualifications and experience. Selection will be on the basis of the written synopsis; group discussions and interviews will be used to test the candidateʼs motivation, leadership, social and negotiating skills.

Training

The selected candidates will go through a three-month intensive training course including a 4 week internship in the preferred district.

Duration of Posting:

The fellows will be appointed for a period of two years on a fixed contract, extendable for one more year based on performance. The PMRDF will be offered an attractive compensation that would include HRA, health insurance and other support.

The candidate should be B Pharma graduate with minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance Department of a pharmaceutical company. The candidates having exposure in QA concepts, on-line inspection, GMP audits, validation of equipments & facilities, handle deviations & change controls, maintain technical documentation and shall be well versed with computer working etc. The salary [ CTC ] will be around Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum

02. Executive – Finance   No. of Posts : 1 [ Gen]

The candidate shall be B Com., with minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in a manufacturing company. Candidate will be responsible for preparation of various MIS reports, Accounting, Preparation of Bank Reconciliation statement, processing of establishment payments and will be assisting in other finance functions. Knowledge of MS Office in Computer is essential. The salary [ CTC ] will be around Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum

03. Analyst – III [ Q C ]    No. of Posts : 3 [ SC-1 ; Gen –2]

The candidate should be M Sc., Microbiology or Chemistry. Candidates must have 1 – 2 years of experience in Q C department and able to analyse the raw materials and handling the instruments like HPLC, GE, IR etc., and testing equipments. Computer knowledge is required. The salary [ CTC ] will be around Rs.2.60 lakhs per annum

04.Management Trainee – QA   No. of Posts : 4

The candidate should be B Pharma graduate. The candidates are required to carry out routine analysis of raw materials, parental products, tablets / capsules etc. The candidates shall be able to handle instruments like HPLC, GC, spectrophotometer etc., and computer knowledge is desirable.The training is for a period of two years. During the period of training, a monthly consolidated stipend of Rs.8000/- during the first year & Rs.10000/- for the second year will be paid. The above trainee position is purely on temporary in nature and ceases after the expiry of two years.

Essential Educational Qualification

Post Graduate Degree in Fisheries Science.

Desirable: Background in rural management, aquaculture extension, planning and promotion of sustainable aquaculture

Experience: 10 years field experience in aquaculture including shrimp farming. Hands on experience in commercial shrimp hatchery/ farming of shrimp /scampi/other cultivable species are desirable.

Period of appointment:  Three years for deputed officials; otherwise annual contract which can be renewed based on performance

Regional Coordinator – 2 Nos

Educational Qualifications: Post Graduate Degree in Fishery Sciences/Marine Science/Zoology

Desired;  Background in rural management, aquaculture extension, planning and promotion of sustainable aquaculture, knowledge in regional language of coastal states The candidate must be computer literate.

Experience: M.F.Sc with 3 Years or M Sc with 5 years field experience in aquaculture including shrimp hatchery/farming of shrimp/cultivable species
