Rotary Peace Fellowships – 2014

rotaryEach year, Rotary selects individuals from around the world to receive fully funded academic fellowships at one of our peace centers. These fellowships cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip transportation, and all internship/field study expenses. Two types of peace fellowships are available.
Master’s degree
We offer master’s degree fellowships at premier universities in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention. Programs last 15­–24 months and require a practical internship of 2–3 months during the academic break. Each year we award up to 50 master’s fellowships from these institutions:

Professional development certificate
For those with more extensive experience in peace-related fields, we offer a 3-month program in peace and conflict resolution at in Bangkok, Thailand. This program incorporates 2–3 weeks of field study. We award up to 50 certificates each year.

How can I apply?
The application process begins online, where you’ll find information about working with your sponsor Rotary district and the supplementary materials you’ll need to complete your application. The deadline for submitting your application to a local club can vary (generally March–June), but the deadline for submitting to Rotary International is 1 July.

IELTS Scholarships Award – 2014

british_councilThe scholarship will award Eight IELTS candidates INR 300,000 each towards the cost of tuition fees.

Who can apply?

To be eligible for the IELTS scholarship, you must:

  • be a resident and citizen of India
  • have taken the IELTS test with the British Council recently
  • have a minimum overall IELTS band score of 6.0
  • produce a valid letter of acceptance / offer letter from a recognised education institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admissions criteria
  • begin an under graduate or post graduate programme outside India in the 2014 academic year.

The Akosha Consumer Law Fellowship – 2014

akoshaThe Akosha Consumer Law Fellowship is a one-year full time programme in which passionate undergraduates, graduates and professionals from the legal field will work towards improving consumer awareness in India, focusing, in particular, on bringing the details of Consumer Law to the masses.

Benefits and remuneration
Akosha Consumer Law Fellows will be paid a stipend of Rs.40,000 per month.

Who can apply
– No more than 28 years of age as on 31st May 2014
– L.L.B., B.A. L.L.B. or L.L.M. from a top law school in India
– Good academic record
