An all India Entrance Examination will be held on 13th May, 2012 (Sunday) from 09.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon at different centers for admission in I.S.M., Dhanbad to the following courses for the academic session 2012-2013.

(i) M. Sc. in Chemistry – 2-year

(ii) M. Sc. in Mathematics & Computing –   2-year

(iii)M. Sc. in Applied Physics  – 2-year

(iv) M. Sc. Tech. in Applied Geophysics – 3-year

(v)M. Sc. Tech. in Applied Geology – 3-year

Eligibility:

(i) M. Sc. in Chemistry – B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Chemistry as Honours / Major / Main/  Equivalent subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject and another subsidiary subject from Physics, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Science.

(ii) M. Sc. in Mathematics & Computing – B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Mathematics as Honours / Major /Main/ Equivalent subject and any two subsidiary subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Science.

(iii) M. Sc. in Applied Physics – B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Physics as Honours / Major /  Main/ Equivalent subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject and another subsidiary subject from Chemistry, Geology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science, Economics and Geography.

(iv) M. Sc. Tech. in Applied Geophysics – B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Physics as Honours / Major/ Main/ Equivalent subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject and another subsidiary subject from Chemistry, Geology, Geography, Electronics, Statistics and Computer Science.

(v)M. Sc. Tech. in Applied Geology – B.Sc. Degree (3-year) with Geology as Honours / Major /Main/ Equivalent subject and any two subsidiary subjects from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and Computer Science

Subject Examination: One paper in respective Honours / Major / Main / Equivalent subject of three hours duration will be held as mentioned below:

Application Forms: Application form and Information Bulletin can be obtained from the I.S.M. sale counter in the office of the DEPUTY REGISTRAR (ACADEMIC & STUDENT WELFARE) during office hours on any working day (Monday to Friday) from 02nd January, 2012 to 02nd March, 2012 on cash payment of Non-refundable Application Fee of Rs.650/- for SC/ST/PD candidates only and Rs.1300/- for all other categories of candidates. The application material can also be obtained by post from the office of the DEPUTY REGISTRAR (ACADEMIC & STUDENT WELFARE), I.S.M. by sending an A/c payee Demand Draft of Rs.700/- for SC/ST/PD candidates only and of Rs.1,350/-for all other categories of candidates, payable at Dhanbad and drawn in favour of the Registrar, I.S.M., Dhanbad, along with a self addressed unstamped envelope of A4 size. The application form can also be downloaded from the I.S.M. website (http://www.ismdhanbad.ac.in) and should be sent along with the original A/c payee Demand Draft of Rs.650/- for SC/ST/PD candidates only and Rs.1,300/- for all other categories of candidates, payable at Dhanbad and drawn in favour of Registrar, I.S.M., Dhanbad.

The completed application form should reach the office of the Deputy Registrar (Academic & Student Welfare), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826004, Jharkhand on or before 09th March, 2012

Indian School Of Mines MBA Programme 2012 -2014

Indian School of Mines (ISM), established in 1926, is a premier institution of international repute. After successfully offering M.Tech. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management since 1977, ISM has launched its AICTE approved MBA program under the Department of Management Studies in 1997.

Eligibility

A Bachelor’s degree after (10+2) in any discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA {45% in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST and DA (Differently Abled Categories*)}. For Honours graduates the aggregate will include marks of both Honours and Pass Papers. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also apply.

Selection

Applicant shall have to appear CAT – 2011. Once they receive the CAT 2011 scores, they have to apply online at the Application Submission System available at our institute website. Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT score will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection.

Application for Admission

Application fee of Rs. 1500/- (Rs.750/- for SC and ST candidates) shall be paid through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian School of Mines and payable at Dhanbad, and should be submitted along with a print out of the filled-in online application form and necessary documents to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines,  Dhanbad – 828206, Jharkhand.

Important Dates:

Online Application Form Submission System will be available at ISM, Dhanbad website from January 10, 2012 to February 24, 2012.

Last date for submission of filled-in application form along with requisite fee and other relevant documents is March 2, 2012.
