The CDFD (Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics) Hyderabad, is a premier institute in the country, which provides services in DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics and conducts basic research in different areas of modern molecular and cellular biology

The main themes of research at CDFD are:
Genetics
Molecular and Cellular Biology
Molecular Pathogenesis
Computational & Structural Biology

CDFD invites applications from highly motivated candidates, willing to take up challenges in modern biology, for admissions to our Research Scholars program. Keeping in view the interdisciplinary nature of modern biology, we especially encourage persons from diverse backgrounds to apply. Those admitted as Research Scholars would be encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program of Manipal University or University of Hyderabad.

Eligibility: M.B.B.S. or Masters degree in any branch of Science, Technology, or Agriculture from a recognized University / Institute. Candidates who have not completed their final year / fourth semester examination are not eligible. Candidates (other than MBBS graduates) must have cleared the CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ICAR NET for JRF or GATE (All India Top 100 Ranks of all the streams) or JEST. MBBS candidates are exempted from any of the eligibility tests mentioned herein. However, only those candidates will be considered who produce proof of having cleared the CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ICAR NET JRF or have qualified BINC examination conducted by the DBT with fellowship or GATE (All India Top 100 Ranks) or JEST. Admission to CDFD.Research Scholars program is based on a 2-tier system involving a written / LAN based examination followed by interview of candidates who have qualified the written / LAN based examination followed by interview of candidates who have qualified the written / LAN based examination.

How To Apply: Interested candidates who fulfill the above conditions may register their names for RESEARCH SCHOLARS PROGRAM – II – 2011 by applying in the prescribed application form online. Complete the application form online at http://www.cdfd.org.in and take the print out of the filled form. Applications may also be made on plain paper as per the format displayed on our website. The printout of the completed application form alongwith the certificates in support of Date of Birth, Educational qualifications, Caste and NET fellowship etc., should be sent to “The Head – Administration, Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Office Block: 2nd Floor, Bldg.7, Gruhakalpa, 5-4-399/B, M. J. Road, Nampally, Hyderabad – 500 001″.

The Online facility of application will open on 10.10.2011 and will be closed on 25.11.2011.

The last date for receipt of the printout of the applications is 30.11.2011 2011 and applications received after 30.11.2011 are liable to be rejected.

The list of shortlisted candidates for the LAN examination will be displayed on our website on 08.12.2011. The Individual Admit Card / Hall Ticket with details of user name, password, venue of the examination and time will be sent through e-mail. No individual intimation letter would be sent.

Eligible candidates will be called for Computer based LAN examination on 16.01.2012. Those who qualify the LAN based examination will be interviewed on 17.01.2012. No TA/DA will be paid. Director, CDFD reserves the right to accept / reject any or all applications without assigning any reasons whatsoever.

APPSC AEs, AEEs notification to fill 3000 posts in various departments

APPSC is planning to issue notifications for recruitment of nearly 3000 AEs and AEEs posts by the month of December. The decision has to be taken in this regard and the APPSC is waiting for the final approval from the government. After getting full vacancies list, notifications may be issued for all the posts.

NEET PG 2012 Notification

The common entrance test (CET) for admission to Medical Post-graduate Courses across the country i.e. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Medical Postgraduate Courses – MD/MS/Diploma (NEET-PG ) shall be held in Jan-Feb 2012 for admissions in the academic year 2012-2013.

Syllabus:

The syllabus is that of MBBS described in the MCI Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997.

The multiple choice questions (MCQs) would be based on the MBBS syllabus as well as the knowledge that needs to be acquired during internship which is also described in the said Regulations.

The distribution of questions, model questions and method of tie breaking for ranking would be placed on the website in the due course.

CSIR UGC NET 2012 Exam For Science Stream Junior Research Fellow

Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) provide CSIR Research Fellowships and Associateship to bright young men and women for training in methods of research under the expert guidance of faculty members/scientists working in University Departments/Institutes of National Importance/National Laboratories and Institutes of CSIR in various fields of Science & Technology and Medical Sciences

The Selection for award of JRF shall be made on the basis of a competitive written test called the National Eligibility Test (NET), conducted by CSIR at national level twice a year in the following areas

1. Chemical Sciences

2. Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences

3. Life Sciences,

4. Mathematical Sciences and

5.  Physical Sciences.

Exam Scheme:

From June 2011, CSIR has introduced a Single Paper MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) based test comprising of three parts.

Part-A shall be common to all subjects comprising question on General Science and Research Aptitude.

Part-B shall contain subject-related conventional MCQ

Part-C shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts.

Negative marking for wrong answers shall be done.

Application Procedure:

Applications for JRF are invited twice a year through press advertisement on all India basis in the prescribed application form.
