The Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad is a premier autonomous R&D Institute under the Societies Act funded by the Department ol Biotechnology. Ministry of Science and Technology. Government of India that has been established to provide services and to undertake R & D in DNA Fingerprinting. DNA Diagnosis and other areas of modem biology.

CDFD wishes to fill up under mentioned vacancies undef Direct Recruitment basis in various Administrative / Technical Cadres of which Code No. 03 is for COE – II and Code Nos. 01, 02 and 04 are for Core cadre of CDFD

COE – II is Centre of Excellence project sanctioned to the CDFD of five years duration, which is likely to be extended thereafter.

1. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (Engg) (I Post for Core, OBC, Code No.01)

Age limit: between 18-30 years

2. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (Scientific Services) (1 Post for Core, UR,Code No. 02)

Age limit: between 18-30yea’s

3. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (Administrative Services) 1 Post for COE-II. Unreserved, cooe No 3)

Age limit: between 18-30years

4. JUNIOR ASSISTANT -I (Administrative Services) (1 post for Core. ST. Code No. 04)

CDFD – Admission for Research Scholars Program – II – 2011

The CDFD (Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics) Hyderabad, is a premier institute in the country, which provides services in DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics and conducts basic research in different areas of modern molecular and cellular biology

The main themes of research at CDFD are:
Genetics
Molecular and Cellular Biology
Molecular Pathogenesis
Computational & Structural Biology

CDFD invites applications from highly motivated candidates, willing to take up challenges in modern biology, for admissions to our Research Scholars program. Keeping in view the interdisciplinary nature of modern biology, we especially encourage persons from diverse backgrounds to apply. Those admitted as Research Scholars would be encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program of Manipal University or University of Hyderabad.

Eligibility: M.B.B.S. or Masters degree in any branch of Science, Technology, or Agriculture from a recognized University / Institute. Candidates who have not completed their final year / fourth semester examination are not eligible. Candidates (other than MBBS graduates) must have cleared the CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ICAR NET for JRF or GATE (All India Top 100 Ranks of all the streams) or JEST. MBBS candidates are exempted from any of the eligibility tests mentioned herein. However, only those candidates will be considered who produce proof of having cleared the CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/ICAR NET JRF or have qualified BINC examination conducted by the DBT with fellowship or GATE (All India Top 100 Ranks) or JEST. Admission to CDFD.Research Scholars program is based on a 2-tier system involving a written / LAN based examination followed by interview of candidates who have qualified the written / LAN based examination followed by interview of candidates who have qualified the written / LAN based examination.

How To Apply: Interested candidates who fulfill the above conditions may register their names for RESEARCH SCHOLARS PROGRAM – II – 2011 by applying in the prescribed application form online. Complete the application form online at http://www.cdfd.org.in and take the print out of the filled form. Applications may also be made on plain paper as per the format displayed on our website. The printout of the completed application form alongwith the certificates in support of Date of Birth, Educational qualifications, Caste and NET fellowship etc., should be sent to “The Head – Administration, Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics (CDFD), Office Block: 2nd Floor, Bldg.7, Gruhakalpa, 5-4-399/B, M. J. Road, Nampally, Hyderabad – 500 001″.

The Online facility of application will open on 10.10.2011 and will be closed on 25.11.2011.

The last date for receipt of the printout of the applications is 30.11.2011 2011 and applications received after 30.11.2011 are liable to be rejected.

The list of shortlisted candidates for the LAN examination will be displayed on our website on 08.12.2011. The Individual Admit Card / Hall Ticket with details of user name, password, venue of the examination and time will be sent through e-mail. No individual intimation letter would be sent.

Eligible candidates will be called for Computer based LAN examination on 16.01.2012. Those who qualify the LAN based examination will be interviewed on 17.01.2012. No TA/DA will be paid. Director, CDFD reserves the right to accept / reject any or all applications without assigning any reasons whatsoever.
