ADVERTISEMENT FOR TWO JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (J.R.F) POSITIONS

Applications are invited for the recruitment of following two posts of Junior Research Fellow (J.R.F) under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, New Delhi funded project (San. No.102/IFD/SAN/5655/2013-2014) entitled “In vitro HIV typel Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitory Activities of some active compounds from Phyllanthus emblica fruit” at the Department of Zoology, Kakatiya University, Warangal-506009.

Sl. No. Positions Qualification & Experience
1 Junior Research Fellow M.Sc. degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences/ or related subject with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade

Desirable: Research experience Cell culture technique and Molecular Biology are highly desirable.
2 Junior Research Fellow M. Pharm (Pharmacology) candidates with GATE/GPAT/CSIR-NET or equivalent examination will be preferred.

Desirable: The students having research experience in HPLC will be given preference.

Emoluments: As per the rules of the funding agency.

Project Duration: 3 Years (The position is purely temporary, initially for a period of one year and will continue until the end of project based on satisfactory performance).

Positions in Tomato Functional Genomics

At the Repository for Tomato Genomics Resources, we are working on Tomato Functional Genomics, using TILLING, Insertional Mutagenesis, proteomics, metabolomics approaches to study fruit ripening in tomato. The current aims of the group include using reverse and forward genetics strategies to isolate tomato mutants delayed in ripening, having high lycopene and folate content in tomato fruits and analysis of light and hormonal signal transduction pathways. Currently we have three positions available in the projects awarded to Prof. R.P. Sharma and Dr. Y. Sreelakshmi funded by Department of Biotechnology and Department of Science and technology. The qualifications for this Position is as follows:

Junior Research Fellow-1 position: Applicants should have M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences plus 2 years research experience in proteomics analyses-2Dgel/LC-MS or MTech with GATE/GATE equivalent with experience in mass spectrometry. Candidates with M.Sc. should be qualified in NET. Selected candidate would be paid Rs. 16,000+30% HRA.

Research Assistant: Applicants should have experience in networking using R language and should be able to develop networks using the trancriptome, proteome and metabolite data sets. M.Tech. in Bioinformatics is required. The selected candidate would be paid Rs. 15,000/-pm- consolidated.

Lab Assistant-1 position: Applicants should have one year experience in tiisue culture for generating transgenic plants. M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences is required. Selected candidates would be paid a consolidated pay of Rs. 8000/-pm.

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate (RA) in DRDO sponsored project, at the ACRHEM Center entitled: “Synthesis of High Energy Materials”.
