EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION

Applications are called from the eligible candidates in person alongwith a set of photo copies of all educational qualifications, experience and community certificates duly attested by the Gazetted Officer for the following posts on the ad hoc research project entitled “Introduction of Vitamin C Rich Fruit in Supplementary Nutrition Programme for Improving Micronutrient Status, Gut Health, Growth and Development: A Randomized Trail among ICDSPreschool Beneficiaries ” funded by ICMR at this Institute. The Application will be received on 29^th June, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Late applications will not be received at any circumstance. The Candidates may download the Application form from NIN website: www.ninindia.org

The names of the shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board which is kept in front of the Conference Hall by 11-30 a.m. The written test will be conducted on 29^th June, 2015 at 12:00 noon and the interview will be held at 02:00 p.m. in the Conference Hall, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad – 500 007.

Note:1. After screening the Applications, depending upon the number of eligible candidates, a written test & interview/ interview will be conducted, only to the short listed Applicants for final selection.

The essential qualification, experience, consolidated Pay and service tenure are as under:

Essential Qualifications	Graduate in Psychology from any recognized University. One year experience in the relevant field.
Desirable	Post Graduate in Psychology from any recognized University with two years experience in conducting studies in rural areas dealing with psychological tests of child psychology in the field settings.
Age	Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of Advertisement.
Cons. Pay	Rs.27,800/- p.m. (fixed) without any allowances.
Tenure	One year

Essential Qualification	10^th / Matric / High School / equivalent with one year required experience from Government / recognized institute or with certificate of one year training in the relevant area.
Desirable	B.Sc. from any recognized University or Intermediate with DMLT or 2 years experience in field studies and having experience in collection of blood for micronutrient status and anthropometric assessment.
Age Limit:	Not exceeding 28 years as on the date of Advertisement.
Cons. Pay	Rs.15,200/-p.m. (Fixed) without any allowances.
Tenure	One year

Essential Qualification	10^th pass with certificate course in Auxiliary mid wife from any government recognized Board/ Institute.
Desirable	2 years experience in field studies and having experience on blood drawing, stool collection from children and initial processing of these biological sample.
Age Limit:	Not exceeding 28 years as on the date of Advertisement.
Cons. Pay	Rs.15,200/-p.m. (Fixed) without any allowances.
Tenure	One year.

Note:2. Initially the appointment order will be issued for a period of one year only.

Note:3. Age relaxation will be given to the deserving Candidates as per the ICMR Circular No.16/107/2008- Admn.II, dated 22.10.2014.

Job Requirement: The Selected Candidates should be willing to travel to villages in Nalgonda district of Telangana state on a daily to and fro basis as per the instruction of the PI.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: The conditions of employment will be the same as are for the project staff on contract basis. The candidates have no right to claim for any regular employment at this Institute. The Director In-charge & Appointing Authority has the right to accept / reject any application without assigning any reason/s and no correspondence in this matter will be entertained.

JRF 1 – Date of Interview: 23^rd June, 2015

Essential Qualifications	1. First Class M.Sc. in Biochemistry/ Bio- Technology/ Life Sciences from recognized University. 2. The candidate should have qualified in CSIR/NET/UGC/ICMR/PGI without fellowship.
Desirable	Two years research experience in Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology.
Age	Below 30 years.
Consolidated Fellowship	Rs.14,000/-p.m.(Fixed) + 30% HRA p.m. without any other allowances
Tenure	Initially for six months and can be extendable up to 22-02-2016 depending upon the funds position.

Note: Age relaxation will be given to the deserving Candidates as per the ICMR Circular No.16/107/2008-Admn.II, dated 22.10.2014.

The short listed candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualification (from SSC onwards), experience, SC/ST/OBC Community Certificate / PH Certificates along with a pass port size photograph and set of Photo copies duly attested for attending the Written Test/Interview. The persons belonging to Other Backward Category should bring the latest O.B.C. (Non-creamy layer) Certificate issued by the respective Tahsildar/MRO specifically issued for the purpose of applying for Central Government Post. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Written Test /Interview.

Scientist “C” (Medical) – 1 Post

Qualification:

Essential:

i) MBBS degree recognized by MCI

ii) Fouryears R&D experience in the related subject/field General Medicine/Pediatrics / Obstetrics and Gynecology after obtaining essential qualification(s)

Desirable:

i) MD or DNB in General Medicine/ Pediatrics Or Obstetrics & Gynecology

ii) Additional Postdoctoral research/ teaching experience in relevant subjects i.e., General Medicine / Pediatrics / Obstetrics and Gynecology in recognized Institute(s)

iii) Knowledge of computer applications

Job Requirements: To carry out clinical research in nutrition.

Scientist “B” (Statistics) – 1 Post

Essential:

i) First class Master’s degree in Statistics from a recognized University or equivalent. (OR)

ii) Second class Master’s degree in Statistics + Ph.d. degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University.

Desirable:

i) Doctorate degree in Statistics from recognized University.

ii) Additional Post Doctoral research / teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized Institute(s)

iii) Knowledge of computer applications

Experience: Three years experience in handling large database related to Medical Or Biology and sound knowledge of SPSS and other statistical software.

Job Requirement: To actively participate and assist in research programmes of the Institute especially in the area of Statistics.

Selection Process:

Interview/ Personal Discussion

Since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates for the interview/personal discussion, the applicants will be short-listed for this purpose. Ph.D degree in subject relevant to Indian Council of Medical Research shall be treated equivalent to three years experience respectively. Candidates with Ph.D degree will be preferred for direct recruitment. If no suitable candidate is found at Scientist’C” level, DG, ICMR, reserves the right to appoint a person at Scientist”B” level. The decision of the Director General., ICMR will be final in this regard.
