Admissions to Higher Degree (PG) Programmes 2014-15

BITS Pilani is a “Deemed to be University” under Section 3 of UGC Act since 1964. Its campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai provide to over 11,500 students an all-round educational and co-curricular experience that is second to none in India. It offers UG, PG and PhD level programmes in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Economics & Finance and Social Sciences. NAAC has accredited BITS Pilani with the highest grade “A”.

Input Qualification: Any integrated first degree of BITS or its equivalent with minimum of 60% aggregate specified at www.bitsadmission.com.

Note: Admissions to M.E,/M.Pharm are based on performance in computer-based online test conducted by BITS, to be held during 31st May – 1st June 2014 at specified centers in India.

Application Procedure: Eligible candidates may apply through the prescribed application form available online at www.bitsadmission.com and take a printout of the filled form. Bharat Electronics Limited, India’s premier professional Electronics Company requires 02 Civil Engineers on contract basis for a period of ONE year for its Engineering Services Division, Bangalore Complex. This requirement is for projects in YADGIR district of Karnataka. Hence, selected candidates will be required to make their own arrangements for stay in Yadgir, till completion of the project.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualification: Minimum PASS class in BE / B.Tech in Engineering in Civil discipline, from a recognized University/Institution. Computer knowledge is essential.
Age: Maximum age limit is 28 years as on 01.05.2014. SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be given age relaxation as per the Government of India Guidelines.
Experience: Minimum 6 months’ of relevant post qualification experience is essential.

Job Specification:
• Should have fair knowledge of implementation of civil construction projects.
• Should be conversant with the codal practice followed.
• Should be conversant with the testing procedures followed for different materials used in construction.
• Should have adequate knowledge of planning various activities involved in projects.
• Should have adequate knowledge of estimation of quantities measurement and billing (Mode measurements).
• The project in Yadgir, is spread across 24 locations in three Panchayats. Selected candidates will be engaged in the day to day activities of project implementation and
supervision at the sites. Period of Contract: The requirement is on contract basis for a period of ONE year, which may be reviewed, based on requirement at that time.

Remuneration: An all – inclusive consolidated remuneration of Rs.15,000/- p.m. for the candidates possessing minimum 6 months’ to 3 years of relevant experience. Travel expenses to and from work site to the identified office in each Panchayat, will be reimbursed, as per Company norms.

Selection Process: Candidates who are meeting the above specifications are required to send their Bio data, scanned SSLC certificate (indicating Date of Birth), BE Degree certificate (CIVIL), caste certificate (if any) and min. 6 months’ work experience certificates to [email protected] on or before 28.05.2014. Selection will be through a Written Test and Interview which will be intimated via email.

Applications for the Posts of Clerks

Applications on the prescribed format are invited for filling-up four clear- cut and six anticipated vacancies of Clerks which may arise within one year of the publication of the Notice, in the pay scale of Rs.5910 – 20200 + Rs.1900/- grade pay with initial start of Rs.7810/- plus Rs. 400/- as secretariat pay, from amongst the candidates possessing minimum Graduation Degree from any recognized University.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 4  Clear-cut posts are to be filled up by General Category and out of 6 anticipated posts, 4 posts are to be filled up from General Category, 1 from Scheduled Caste and 1 from Scheduled Tribe Category.
  2. Applications may be submitted on the prescribed format only.
  3. The candidates are required to submit application fee in the shape of Indian Postal Order payable in the name of the Registrar General, High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, which has been fixed as Rs.200/­- for the General Category Candidate, whereas for the reserve category candidate, such fee would be Rs. 150/-.
  4. In the first instance, a screening test of the candidates may be held, followed by a regular test.
  5. Applications received after due date or incomplete applications, or notin accordance with the prescribed format, shall be out-rightly rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in that respect.
  6. The words “Application for the post of Clerk”should be super­scribed on top of the envelope containing application form.
  7. The candidates are required to submit attested copies of all relevant testimonial so as show their qualification.
  8. The lower and upper age limit of candidates shall be the same as applicable to the corresponding employees of the state Government.
  9. The candidature of only such candidates who are found eligible and whose applications are complete in all respects shall be considered for the posts.
  10. No TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidates called for interview.
  11. The candidate appointed as Clerk shall have to pass the typing test with as speed of 30 words per minute with in the period of probation.

Applications are invited for one post of Project Assistant in UPE-II sponsored project entitled Development of nanostructured composites as exchange spring-magnets with high coercivity and high energy product

Appointment will be for one year and extendable for the second year subject to satisfactory progress in the project.

Qualification: M.Sc. or M.Tech with a minimum of 55% marks in Physics/Materials Science. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum is 50%. Those who have appeared for the final year exams may also apply.
